Udhuma Abdul Latheef
Head of School, School of Computer Science
Ms. Udhuma Abdul Latheef, the Head of School at ³Ô¹ÏÍø's School of Computer Science in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology. With more than nine years of experience at the college, Ms. Udh...uma holds an MSc in Information Technology Management from Staffordshire University in the UK. Currently, she is also overseeing the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
Ms. Udhuma is an expert in her field and has a keen interest in Women in Technology, Special Education and IT, Educational Technology, and Human-Computer Interaction. She is currently working on a research project titled "A multi-Modal Approach to Teacher Professional Development to Address Evolving Educational Changes in Low Resource Settings" alongside Dr. Aishath Nasheeha, Ms. Fathimath Saeed, Ms. Mariyam Nihaadh, and Ms Mariyam Nazviya.
As the Head of School, Ms. Udhuma is responsible for coordinating programs such as the BSc in Computer Science and MSc in Information Technology, as well as the Bachelor of Interior Architecture and Design. She also oversees the Faculty of Engineering and Technology as a whole. In addition, she has contributed to the development of IT-related modules in Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics, Mechatronics, and Mechanical Programs and is currently working on developing IT-related Programs such as the Bachelor of Cyber Security, Bachelor of Networking, and Bachelor of Software Engineering.

Dr. Ramchand Vedaiyan
Assistant Professor
Dr. Ramchand Vedaiyan is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, specifically in the School of Computer Science at ³Ô¹ÏÍø. With 7 months of experience at Villa coll...ege. Dr. Vedaiyan has an extensive background in academia, having taught and held positions at various universities around the world.
Dr. Vedaiyan received his Doctorate in Computer Science, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India, and has focused his research on Wireless Sensor Networks, with a recent publication on Wireless Sensor Networks in Precision Monitoring of Crops.
At ³Ô¹ÏÍø, Dr. Vedaiyan teaches courses such as Operating Systems and Internet of Things. He has also developed proposals for new programs in the field of computer science, including a B.Sc. in Software Engineering, B.Sc. in Networking, and B.Sc. in Cyber Security.
Overall, Dr. Vedaiyan's academic expertise and research interests make him a valuable asset to the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at ³Ô¹ÏÍø.

Litty Tressa George
Senior Lecturer
Ms. Litty Tressa George is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Computer Science at ³Ô¹ÏÍø, within the Faculty of Engineering & Technology. With over seven years of experience in teaching and res...earch, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role.
Litty holds a Masters in Engineering Technology in Computer Science Engineering from Mahatma Gandhi University Kerala, India and has undergone various trainings and certifications in her field of expertise. She has previously worked as an Assistant Professor at Jai Bharat College of Management, Engineering & Technology.
At ³Ô¹ÏÍø, Litty teaches a range of modules for UWE Bachelors and Masters Computer Science programs, including Artificial Intelligence, Hybrid Intelligent Systems, Cloud Computing, IT Project Management and Ethics in Computing. She is also involved in course development, having contributed to the development of Computer Science modules for Engineering, and is currently working on the development of new Computer Science programs such as Software Engineering, Networking, CyberSecurity etc..
Litty's research interests include Machine Learning, Data mining, Cyber forensics and Big Data Analytics, and has published research papers in her field of expertise.
She is committed to helping her students reach their full potential and is always available to offer guidance and support both inside and outside of the classroom. She shows great interest in mentoring students and guiding them in their career paths.

Dr. Lyernisha Sundara Raj Retna Bai
Senior Lecturer
Dr. Lyernisha S R is a dedicated and innovative educator in the field of computer science, currently serving as an Assistant Professor and Coordinator of (BSc (Hons) Computer science program at Villa ...College in the Maldives. With a robust academic background and over five years of teaching experience, Dr. Lyernisha has made significant contributions to the education sector, inspiring students and fostering a deep understanding of programming and computer science concepts.
Dr. Lyernisha completed her PhD in Information and Communication Engineering at St. Xavier's Catholic College of Engineering, Anna University, specializing in Underwater Image Processing. Her research focuses on leveraging advanced technologies, such as deep learning and machine learning, to enhance image recognition and processing in challenging environments. This work has not only advanced academic knowledge but also holds practical implications for fields such as marine exploration and environmental monitoring.
In addition to her doctoral studies, Dr. Lyernisha holds a Master’s degree in Communication and Networking and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, both from Anna University, where she graduated with distinction. Her academic excellence is complemented by numerous certifications in robotics, artificial intelligence, and web development, showcasing her commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Throughout her career, Dr. Lyernisha has been actively involved in curriculum development, ensuring that her courses align with industry standards and prepare students for the evolving technological landscape. She has taught a variety of subjects, including Foundations of Computing, Data Structures, and Advanced Algorithms, and has supervised numerous undergraduate research projects in artificial intelligence.
Dr. Lyernisha's contributions to academia have been recognized through various awards, including the ³Ô¹ÏÍø Excellence Award for Teaching in 2023 and the Best Presenter Award at the International Conference on Social, Research, and Innovation (ICSRI) in 2024. She has also published several research papers in top-tier journals, contributing to the body of knowledge in her field.
