A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on 11th October 2024 between ³Ô¹ÏÍø and SquareHub (Pvt) Ltd of Sri Lanka.
The MoU aims to develop and give further opportunities to staff and students through the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development (CIED) and the Business Incubator that was recently established at ³Ô¹ÏÍø, in the form of mentoring sessions, collaborations on start-up exchange programmes and capacity building activities, providing access to resources, and promoting entrepreneurial activities. As a result of this agreement, ³Ô¹ÏÍø hopes to expand not just the centre, but also strengthen the network and capacity needed to build a sense of entrepreneurism among our students, staff, and our community.
The MoU was signed by the Director and CEO of SquareHub (Pvt) Ltd, Sri Lanka, Mr Kanishka Karunanayake and Vice Rector, Dr Ali Najeeb, who was accompanied by the Deputy Vice Rector, Mr Abdul Munnim Mohamed Manik, and Deputy Dean of Qasim Ibrahim School of Business (QISB) and Director for the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development (CIED), Dr Damith Gangodawilage.
