We are proud to present our team of talented law students attending the training bootcamp held at Dubai, United Arab Emirates in preparation to participate in the 21st Willem C. Vis East International Commercial Arbitration Moot, a competition for law students to foster the study and practice of international commercial sales law and arbitration. The ³Ô¹ÏÍø Faculty of Shariah and Law team comprising of our students Fathimath Hoona Haneef (LLB), Mariyam Malsaa Ahmed (LLB), Aminath Yakta Ahmed (BSL) and Mariyam Lana Firshan Zahir (LLB) participated in the MENA Vis Moot after a prolonged selection process conducted internally at the ³Ô¹ÏÍø, Faculty of Shariah and Law.
The Bootcamp was organized by the Commercial Law Development Program in partnership with Dubai International Arbitration Centre and The American University in the Emirates (AUE).
The bootcamp took place from 10 - 13 December 2023 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), and hosted more than 150 students from over 35 universities from 22 countries across the world. The bootcamp was intended to help the students with arbitration and research skills analyzing the moot problem for this year's round and training them for written and oral advocacy.
