The UWE - VC Graduation 2023 was held on 4th and 5th October 2023 at the ³Ô¹ÏÍø Q.I Hall. On this occasion the ³Ô¹ÏÍø Graduation 2023 was held on day 1 (Wednesday) with 3 sessions for the graduating class of 2023. The UWE Graduation 2023 was held on day 2 (Thursday) with 3 sessions for the graduating class of 2023.
On the first day, a total of 660 students graduated from 36 different undergraduate, postgraduate and master’s programmes conducted in ³Ô¹ÏÍø in 3 sessions. In the first session, the graduates had their degrees conferred by the Dr. Aishath Mohamed Didi, Minister of Gender, Family and Social Services, Dr. Ibrahim Hassan, Minister of Higher Education conferred the degree for the graduates in session 2 and Dr. Abdulla Mausoom, Minister of Tourism conferred the degree for the graduates in the third session.
On the second day of graduation a total of 476 students graduated from 16 different undergraduate, postgraduate and master’s programmes conducted in ³Ô¹ÏÍø from the University of the West of England. The degrees were conferred by the Vice Chancellor of the University of the West of England, Professor Steve West at all three sessions. In a compelling address by Professor Sir Steve West, Vice-Chancellor of the University of the West of England, he assures graduates that the knowledge, skills, and experience gained during their studies at ³Ô¹ÏÍø position them strongly to seize the abundant opportunities within our global knowledge economy.
During Dr. Ali Najeeb's speech, Vice Rector Najeeb highlighted the transformative impact of our partnership with the University of the West of England on ³Ô¹ÏÍø. This collaboration has not only enhanced our academic processes but has also enriched the professional experiences of our dedicated academic staff. It sets the stage for ³Ô¹ÏÍø to emerge as the leading higher education provider in the Maldives. A massive congratulation to all the graduates of the Graduating Class of 2023.
